Who Can Benefit from Nutrition Counseling?

Anyone who dreams of a healthier life with MORE energy, MORE confidence in their body, and LESS stress around food.

People who work with me, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist in Connecticut, clear the confusion around food and choose foods for busy schedules and nutritional needs.

We do this by making small, simple changes each week that add up to BIG results.

Discover what you CAN eat rather than what you “CAN’T” or “shouldn’t”. You’ll find out how nutrition can enhance your life, not restrict it.

Introducing the

Care About Nutrition
Counseling Program

A 3 month program for discouraged women constantly on a diet, unable to control themselves around foods they love and not seeing any results despite always trying.

Learn what foods boost energy, manage food cravings and feel confident in food choices.

Nutrition Counseling with a Dietitian IS:

  • An individualized nutrition plan specifically for YOU that meets your nutrient needs
  •  A realistic plan for you to stick with for the rest of your life-not just a week or few months
  • Starting with small, sustainable changes that you feel confident in achieving
  • Talking about food as fuel, nourishment, and for enjoyment.
  • Moving away from the idea that foods are either healthy or unhealthy and adopt an “all foods fit” approach
  • Working with your taste preferences to include foods and drinks that both meet your bodies nutrient needs to function, but are also satisfying
  • Learning how to find pleasure in foods at holidays, birthdays, on vacation and still work towards your goals
  • A big picture approach discussing how you feel before, during, and after eating
  • Discussing specifically WHAT, HOW and WHEN you are eating-with an emphasis on mindful eating
  • Focusing on nutrition; however we will discuss stress management, physical activity and other components affecting your overall wellbeing

Nutrition Counseling with a Dietitian IS NOT:

  • A quick fix
  • A fad diet-in fact I won’t refer to this as a diet at all
  • A magic pill, or a place where supplements and powders are sold or used to replace meals
  • A fast weight loss plan where you will lose a lot of weight quickly (ex. “30lbs weight loss in 30 days”)
  • Calorie counting or meal plans
  • Talking about food as either healthy or unhealthy, OR good or bad
  • Eliminating foods or macronutrients (unless medically necessary) such as limiting carbohydrates or fat
